About Mentally Flourishing
At Mentally Flourishing, therapy is viewed as a path to flourishing, a process of reconnecting with self, the body and mind while making space for flow of the emotional experience. Flourishing is rooted in developing emotional well-being, psychological flexibility, self-trust and acceptance, embodiment, and the ability to move through life with intention, empowerment, authenticity, and connection.
The mission of Mentally Flourishing is to support individuals, couples and families by cultivating a grounded and purposefully lifestyle through culturally affirming, trauma-informed, and inclusive care. Therapy is designed to guide clients through the process of rewriting the narrative of their lives, navigating life’s complexities with clarity and compassion, to build a relationship with self rooted in safety.
Mentally Flourishing integrates lived experience with clinical knowledge to support clients navigating the intersections of identity and sexuality expression, systemic oppression, intergenerational and relational trauma, and the broader human experience. The work is rooted in the belief that healing should not require masking, shrinking, or disconnecting from who you are in order to feel supported or accepted.
The therapeutic framework blends direct compassion, humor, mindfulness, movement, somatic practices, and Afro-spiritual influences to support emotional processing, nervous system regulation, embodiment, and reconnection with self. Healing is understood as more than gaining insight; it is also learning how to safely exist within your body, emotions, relationships, and truth. Mentally Flourishing strives to create a space where authenticity, curiosity, cultural affirmation, and nervous system safety all coexist.
I am very grateful for T’s help and insight during a difficult transition period in my life. They introduced me to new therapeutic techniques that have made challenging times a bit easier to get through. As someone who is working on being more in their body, T integrated talk therapy and somatic therapy and provided a delicate balance during each sessions. They were very accommodating at a time where scheduling and planning ahead for sessions became difficult. I am appreciative of her calm disposition and perspective.

They/Them
I’m a Black Caribbean, queer, nonbinary, trauma-informed therapist, dancer, and movement artist born and raised in the heart of Miami-Dade County. My Jamaican and Trinidadian roots deeply shape the way I move through the world and the way I approach healing — with rhythm, storytelling, resilience, creativity, and community at the center.
As a therapist, I take a holistic and embodied approach to care, weaving together movement, mindfulness, music, humor, and storytelling to help clients reconnect with themselves in ways that feel grounding, empowering, and authentic. I believe therapy should create space not only for healing, but also for curiosity, self-discovery, liberation, and growth.
My work is informed not only by clinical training, but also by lived experience. As someone navigating ADHD, CPTSD, and BPD, I understand what it means to move through the world feeling deeply, masking for survival, and learning how to reconnect with your body and identity in safer, more compassionate ways. That lived understanding shapes the way I hold space — with directness, warmth, honesty, and care.
Outside of therapy, I’m deeply connected to creativity, movement, and “geeky” joy. I’m classically trained in dance, love hiking and gardening, and fully commit to the yearly hooptober challenge. I’m also a huge horror fan — especially zombie dystopian films and slashers. Concerts are one of my favorite forms of release and nervous system regulation (I’ve seen JID 14 times, and yes, mosh pits absolutely regulate my nervous system).
I’m also a longtime anime lover with a meticulously organized watchlist in Google Docs, a proud dog parent to Eric Killmonger, and someone who believes healing can coexist with humor, rebellion, softness, and joy.
Astrology says I’m an Aries Sun, Taurus Moon, and Pisces Rising — which honestly tracks. I tend to bring boldness, grounded patience, emotional depth, and intuition into both my personal life and my work. As a middle child, I’ve mastered the balance between peacemaking and challenging systems that no longer serve us.
At the core of everything I do is the belief that people deserve spaces where they can exist fully as themselves — unmasked, affirmed, emotionally safe, and connected to their own humanity
