Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! I have availability Monday through Thursday, 10 AM - 7 PM, with my last session at 6/6:15/6:30 PM. Note: this subject to change based on availability. Check the “book a consultation” bottom to see current openings.

What are your qualifications?
I have been practicing since 2019. I received my Associate License on 4/20/2022 and my full LPC License on 8/14/2023. I hold trainings and certifications for continued education in cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Brainspotting, ERP, and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)

What are your hours? Can I have appointments in the evening or on the weekend?
The office hours are from Monday - Thursday, with rotating Friday morning walk-and-talk therapy (seasonal) starting at 11 AM, and afternoon/evening sessions until 6:15 PM.
We offer flexible appointment hours to accommodate busy schedules, including daytime and evening availability. At Mentally Flourishing, we are closed on weekends, starting Friday at 2PM.

Does insurance cover treatment? What is the process for insurance coverage?
To protect the privacy and autonomy of our clients, Mentally Flourishing, currently does not accept insurance directly. Clients have the option to submit for reimbursement or request to discuss sliding scale slot availability. We currently utilize Mentaya to verify and process out of network claims. For out-of-network reimbursement, but we cannot guarantee that your insurance will cover services. We recommend contacting your insurance provider or Mentaya support to verify out-of-network benefits and any deductibles requirements. Claims submission and reimbursement are the client’s responsibility.

What are your specialties and areas of expertise?
Mental Health Concerns Treated: OCD, trauma; PTSD, C-PTSD, BPD, and related anxiety disorders; depression, relationship issues, sex/kink/poly relationship dynamics, identity, and gender concerns.
Therapeutic Approach: Integrating holistic, somatic movement, and evidence-based practices, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Brainspotting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing.
Spiritual & Astrological Integration: When aligned and appropriate, I incorporate astrology and spirituality into therapy.
Walk & Talk: Clients can choose Westside Park in Midtown and various hiking trails in the Decatur area.
Note: Walk-and-talk therapy is off-season due to winter.

What does the session structure look like?
60-minute intake session: Overview of approach, review of paperwork, discussion of history, therapy goals, and treatment plan. Ongoing sessions: Weekly sessions are recommended for the first four weeks, then biweekly once significant progress is made. Monthly or “maintenance” sessions are available after a strong foundation is established

How do I pay for therapy sessions?
Clients are required to have card on file. Payments for session are required at the time of session. Payments are collected through Paypal, the client portal secure processing system.Mentally Flourishing accepts Visa, Mastercards, etc

How does the sliding scale work?
This sliding scale reflects different stages of personal growth, ensuring therapy remains accessible while supporting a sustainable and thriving practice.
🌱 Limited slots are available at reduced rates. If you are interested in a lower-cost option, please discuss availability with your therapist. Sliding scale rates are based on financial need and availability, ensuring equitable access to care.

What is walk-and-talk therapy?
Walk-and-talk therapy is an alternative to traditional in-office or virtual therapy, combining movement with therapeutic conversation in an outdoor setting. It can help reduce stress, improve mood, and create a more relaxed environment for processing emotions. Sessions are available seasonally.

What is your policy for missed appointments?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please do so at least 48 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will be charged the full session fee of $175. However, if you reschedule for another time within the same week, there will be no charge. No-show appointments will be charged the full fee of $180.
Note: Mentally Flourishing Is not open on weekends. Closed starting Friday, 12p; all cancellations on the weekend will be acknowledged on that Monday.

How do you ensure privacy and confidentiality?
Your privacy is my priority. Everything you share in therapy is confidential, with exceptions required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, court mandates).
We can discuss confidentiality concerns in your first session.

What are the limits of confidentiality?
Therapy is confidential except in cases where therapists are legally required to report:
Threats of harm to oneself or others
Suspected abuse to marginalized groups, such as child abuse, elder abuse, or neglect
Court subpoenas or legal obligations
