Frequently Asked Questions

1. Therapy Duration: How long will therapy last? How long are sessions?
Therapy is a personalized process, and the duration varies based on your needs and goals. Sessions typically last between 50-60 minutes. The overall length of therapy depends on the complexity of the issues you're working through, and your therapist will collaborate with you to determine the best timeline.

2. Hours: What are your hours? Can I have appointments in the evening or on the weekend?
Typical office hours are from 10A-8P. We offer flexible appointment hours to accommodate busy schedules, including daytime and evening availability. At Mentally Flourishing, we are closed on weekends, starting Friday at Noon.

3. Insurance: Does insurance cover treatment? What is the process for insurance coverage?
Mentally Flourishing, currently does not accept insurance directly. We can provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement, but we cannot guarantee that your insurance will cover services. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify out-of-network benefits and any deductibles. Claims submission and reimbursement are the client’s responsibility.

4. Payment: How do I pay for therapy sessions? What are the payment options? Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes! We offer sliding scale and equity pricing. We leverage an equity pricing model to center equity and collective care. With this system, individuals are encouraged to honor their own financial needs. We have developed varying scales to accommodate financial needs, and your fee may be reassessed as your financial situation changes. Payment is due at the time of service, and we accept most major credit cards.

5. Cancellation Policy: What is your policy for missed appointments?
We maintain a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours or miss a session, you will be charged the full session fee. This policy helps ensure availability for all clients.

6. Therapy Types: Do you offer couples counseling or group therapy?
Yes, we offer individual therapy, couples counseling, and group therapy. Our groups often focus on skill-building, emotional regulation, and wellness integration.

7. Therapy for Children: Do you provide therapy for children and adolescents?
